Selfie with a Celebrity: Demo for an AI Photo Bot
How we made a promo video for a bot that generates photos with celebrities — with camera movements, sound, and a QR code at the end
Selfie with a Celebrity: Demo for an AI Photo Bot
@create_selfie_bot is a Telegram bot that uses AI to generate photos of you alongside a celebrity. Upload your photo, choose a star — get a realistic result.
The problem with such bots is the multi-step process: users need to upload a photo, wait for generation, before they see the result. A demo video removes this barrier: the viewer sees the entire journey from start to finished photo in 30 seconds.
The Script
A one-on-one dialogue with the bot. The user launches it, sees a preview with examples, uploads their photo, and asks for a selfie with a celebrity. The bot generates — the user is thrilled.
Key elements:
- Bot's startup message with a preview image — shows what the bot can do before the first message
- Input and output photos — the viewer sees the transformation
- Specific celebrity name — a concrete name, not an abstract "star". Specificity hooks attention
Technical Details
1:1 format. Square — universal for Instagram posts and Telegram.
Light theme. A bot for a broad audience — light theme looks friendlier and more inviting.
Camera. Three focus points: zoom-out on the bot's avatar at the start (scale 4.5 — close-up), zoom-in on the dialogue, zoom-out on the final photo. Each camera movement draws attention to the key moment.
Exit slide with QR code. At the end — a slide with a QR code and username @create_selfie_bot. Viewers can point their camera and go to the bot directly from the video. This is a converting element that regular screen recordings don't have.
Sound. Energetic ambient + message sounds. The music sets a positive tone — this is an entertainment bot, not a corporate tool.
Why This Works for Photo Bots
Photo bots sell results. A text description "generates photos with celebrities" is abstract. But a video where a specific person gets a specific photo with a celebrity — that's an instant wow effect.
A demo video for a photo bot should show:
- Input — what photo the user uploads
- Process — the bot working (even if it's instant in the demo)
- Output — the finished result in close-up
- CTA — how to reach the bot (QR code, username, link)
